Playdough is the quintessential sensory play tool. It develops fine-motor skills, builds creativity, encourages experimentation. And most of all, it’s colourful, soft, fun and generates tons of happy feelings during play!
Mass-produced playdough can be expensive, and we can’t be too sure how much of what goes into these dough. With this simple recipe, you can make your very own taste-safe playdough.
We did this the hard way by seperating the mixtures into portions before cooking them separately, you can also do the seperation and colouring after cooking. We do feel that the colour mixes in better when you do it before though.
Remember that since we did not add any preservatives, the dough will not last perpetually, store in a cool, dry place and discard as soon as you see mould or it feels icky to the touch and make a new batch!
