Seadrill Ltd. announced Dec. 17 new contracts with Petrobras for two of its drillships offshore Brazil.
The West Jupiter drillship’s contract will run for three years and contribute approximately $493 million to Seadrill’s order backlog, the company said. The program is expected to start in first-quarter 2026.
The West Tellus drillship was also awarded a three-year contract for the Sépia and Atapu fields in the Santos Basin. The contract will contribute approximately $498 million to its order backlog.
The West Tellus program is also scheduled to start in first-quarter 2026.
Seadrill now operates six drillships in Brazil.
