Dataprana Inc. began the construction of its 30-megawatt (MW) data center in La Marque, Texas on Oct. 23, the data center developer and operator announced in a Nov. 11 press release.
The immersion-cooled data center will help to satiate the growing demand for cloud services, Web3 applications and digital asset mining, among others.
Immersion system manufacturers such as Intelliflex and Arctic Systems will supply infrastructure for cooling and keep operations nearly silent for less pollution and interruptions to the surrounding area.
The data center’s location in Texas will take advantage of the state’s energy grid and infrastructure, economic climate and “welcoming stance towards new business and alternative industries,” the company said in its announcement.
