Australian-based APA Group will build and operate a 12-inch, 23-mile natural gas pipeline for a proposed 40-MMcf/d pilot drilling project to exploit the country’s Northern Territory gas reserves, according to a Dec. 16 announcement.
Tamboran Resources Corp. and Daly Waters Energy LP contracted the foundation capacity on the project until 2041.
The Stuart Plateau Pipeline will connect the proposed Sturt Plateau Compression Facility to APA’s Amadeus Gas Pipeline, which collects natural gas in the Northern Territory. APA expects to complete the pipeline by the first half of 2026.
APA Group is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure companies. Tamboran is the largest acreage holder in Australia, with about 1.9 million net prospective acres in the Beetaloo Sub-basin within the Greater McArthur Basin in the Northern Territory of Australia.
